Conscious Costuming
The entertainment industry is another culprit of excessive waste. The average feature length film creates 240 tons of waste. From set design to costume, everything ends up in a landfill after a single use.
The Rethreadery sources costumes and props secondhand. After filming is complete, all items are either recycled or repurposed into something new.
The Rethreadery was brought on to costume the cast in recycled and upcycled clothing. All clothing and accessories were sourced second hand and recycled after filming.
By the end of filming the entirety of the trash created from the making of the movie fit in one mason jar.
