Fishtown Films presents

the first zero waste movie

Fishtown Films is a Philadelphia based film studio who is blazing the trail for sustainability and waste reduction in the film industry. Seeing first hand the massive impact the film industry has on the environment. In 2019, they set out to make the first zero waste movie. Fishtown Films planned every detail out perfectly to reduce waste across the board. Bringing on local small businesses to serve food in reusable containers, using recycled or borrowed props and all costuming was recycled.

Zero waste costuming

The Rethreadery was brought on to costume the cast in recycled and upcycled clothing. All clothing and accessories were sourced second hand and recycled after filming.

By the end of filming the entirety of the trash created from the making of the movie fit in one mason jar.

Citywide is streaming now on Amazon.
